If you are selling products online this is a very important article to read.

With huge opportunities on the internet and many good products there are the inevitable bad ones as well.

The problem with online business, as we mentioned before, is that it can be very impersonal. This means that if someone gives a bad reputation to a product in a niche market it can rub off on other websites that are perfectly fine trustworthy and good.

This is where ethical marketing comes into play. To ensure that you get the customers and no bad media rubs off on your website and online business.

To sell a product well, it is very important to use powerful selling words to really convey each and every little benefit that your product has to convince the customer. However, it is not uncommon to see words like “unbelievable” and “phenomenal” and something along those lines in really great sales letters.

That said, there are some marketers who intentionally use hyped-up descriptions to sell off their products. These marketers mislead customers into thinking that their products offer benefits that do not really exist in reality. These type of practices make it very hard for other online businesses because they give a bad name to the industry.

To make sure that your product sells and you keep to ethical marketing that people believe. Employ only strategies and tactics that are believable and trustworthy.

Use language that is appropriate. If you are selling a R7 report or even a 19 page e-book for R29.95 it can be very useful and the information conveyed can be great for the customer but it can’t possibly promise the world for that amount of money.

Therefore be realistic in what your sales pages say, try to be precise in what your products help the customer with, don’t hype for no reason.

Some products are really amazing and outstanding and phenomenal and copywriters do use these words, but then the product better be that good and usually such products don’t sell for R7 or even R250, they are more in the ranges of the thousands of rands.

In summary, you can sell on your website and online business anything from any amount of money. This has been done and proven already, but you must stick to ethical marketing to ensure that your customers always trust you and refer others to you.

If your customers buy products that promise the world but don’t deliver, you will it find it harder and harder to find customers to buy your products.

Recurring sales in online marketing is a major source of income, if your customers don’t trust you because of your marketing, how will you sell to them your new products?
